Navagraha temples around Kumbha Konam.
Day to day we are all being ruled by navagrahas. If the navagraha planets are well placed in horoscope the native will be very happy. But rarely there will be a person with all the planets well positioned. When the planets are not positioned well one has to suffer due to those particular planets. For Saturn (Sani ) there are temples in Andhra Pradesh(Mandapalli), Tamilnadu(Thirunallar of Karaikal) & Maharastra(Sani Singanapur). For Sun (Ravi) famous temples are Konark in Orissa , Arasavilli in Andhrapradesh, Suriyanar koil in Tamilnadu. But for the remaining seven planets there is not enough information whether temples are there or not except in Tamilnadu.
The City of Kumbhakonam is well known for its temples and culture, is the epicenter for all the navagraha temples. All the temples for the navagrahas are within the radius of 60km from Kumbhakonam. Apart from these navagraha temples, World famous Chidambaram, Tanjore, Nagore dargah, Swamimalai, Uppiliappan koil at Thirunageswaram, Velankanni church Nagapattinam are also nearer to Kumbhakonam. No body can never imagine important temples for all the religions so close at one place. There are still numerous famous temples near to Kumbhakonam. One can say Kumbhakonam is most divine place in India and one can say in the entire world. Kumbhakonam it self is famous for temples.
If any body is suffering with long pending physical, economical, mental or emotional problems and all the channels for relief are failed, one can visit these temples and perform archana at these temples and can get rid off all the problems.
One has to attend Suriyanar koil of lord Ravi (Sun) and perform navagraha parihara pooja. Then one can attend the temple of present dasa lord and the temple of sub dasa lord and finally the temple of next Maha dasa lord. By doing so one can be relieved off the problems being faced day to day.
How to reach Kumbhakonam.
One can reach Kumbhakonam by train or by bus from Chennai and various other destinations. It is about 300km from Chennai. Unfortunately at present there is only one train from Chennai to Kumbhakonam per day. But there are a number of buses from Chennai. It will take about 7to 8 hours by bus to reach Kumbhakonam from Chennai. Number of Lodges are available which suite to the pocket of common man. Check out time is exact 24 hours.

Those who are interested to visit all the temples within 2 to 3 days can hire a taxi for the purpose which may cost approximately from Rs 1300/- to Rs1800/- depending on the model from 4 seater to 8 seater non A/C.
All the navagraha temple visit can be completed within 2 days by arranging a car. Decision is left to the pilgrim.
Thousands of pilgrims will be visiting these temples to clear their doshams from all parts of India. Most of the people are very happy and satisfied with arrangements at these temples.
If the state government can give the name of the board on the bus in English too along with Tamil it will be very easy for the pilgrims to reach the temples and ample time will be saved.
