I am going through saade-sati and all that I can say is that there is a very strong misconception about Shani Dev. My experience in these difficult times of mine has made me realize one thing - there isn't a greater and more wonderful teacher than Shani Dev. Somewhere I had read that Saade-Sati is a period of hard knocks - yes that is true. But it also depends on how you take it. These hard knocks are bitter n painful lessons in life to turn you into a person of strong mind and character. It is only when one faces adversity that a person develops humility, a deep understanding of life and becomes a better person. And until and unless the greatest teacher of all punishes you for your crimes (big n small) you will never learn. All teachers do that - whether your spiritual ones or the human ones. So in turn learn to love and respect Shani Dev - what he does is for your good - never fear Him. And the best way to please Him is to do good to people with a pure heart - M

Kumba rasi and I understand passing thru Sani in Eight house till November 2011.I lost my mother in January 2011 (22-01-2011).You have indicated certain remedieal measures to brinng down the effects,can recite the japam or conduct archanas as indicated,since one year period of asoucha due passing of mother.If no can you suggest any other remidy.
