Reiki is transferred to students by Reiki Masters through a series of attunements. During an attunement process, the Master selects a series of symbols, which represent important points located along a person's energy field, and guides them through higher vibrations of energy. This attunement process enables recipients to access the healing energy on their own—and in turn, help others to access it too.

The Main principles of Reiki are

There are Three main levels/degrees in Reiki. They are
First Degree Reiki:

This is the beginning level.
Second Degree Reiki:

Ask about the condition of the recipients body, disorders/previous surgery and what their goals are for the Reiki treatments.

Wash your hands.

There are twelve basic hand positions. Hold each five or more minutes, until your hands tell you to move. The following are some helpful tips:

• Use a tissue or cloth over face of recipient during Head Position #1.
• Do complete treatment—all twelve hand positions (except in accidents, emergencies or on the spot stress relief).
• Add the additional positions to the treatment for complete coverage of the body.
• Keep legs uncrossed (recipient and practitioner).
• Keep fingers and thumb together - hands touching. Open fingers create scattered energy, close fingers focus and direct the energy.
• Your hands may feel different sensations: heat, cold, tingling, pulling, etc. Hands may not get hot. Do not judge the effectiveness - the Reiki energy is working.
• Music is good during a treatment - soft and quiet, like Halpern or Aeoliah.
• It is not necessary to be in a meditative state during a treatment.
• Talking during treatment is permitted, but silence enhances your awareness of energy and changes in the body. In some cases, talking can have a cleansing effect for the recipient.
• When the person is asleep, the energy seems to be more readily accepted (there is no resistance from the conscious mind).
• Reiki adjusts to the needs and conditions of the receiver.

After The Treatment:

• Both you and the recipient drink water.
Things to Remember:
• Remember you are Not a healer—the energy is.
• If the person does not seem to get better, the energy is working on levels other than physical.
• In accidents, emergencies or for on-the-spot stress relief, treat local areas (to stop bleeding, and reduce shock or stress) then if possible, treat all twelve positions.
Reiki Self Treatments:
• Give yourself a treatment everyday using all twelve positions.
• Always do sets of four positions (i.e. all head, all front or all back).

Five Principles for happy living

Every body in this world is un happy one way the other. Rich people, poor people, great people there is no difference. Most of the people are not happy we can say that no peace of mind. Every body is in tension, hatred, angry etc., The position is making things worse day by day. To overcome from all these i suggest the following five principles.

The first principle: I will be in the attitude of gratitude.

Most of the problems we encounter are due to the reason of comparision. Every body compares with the another person who is in better position and feels sad why he is not like the person in comparision. One never compares with a person who is not good as oneself. Always don't compare with any one. You have come into this world alone. Fortunately you may leave the world alone only. No loved one will come with you. Since it is the comparision that makes thing worse, feel happy with what ever you are. There are people who are poorer than you, un healthier than you, weaker than you. Have the attitude of gratitude. God has created so many things for us only.

Remember it it great

to love ohers than being loved

to help others than than getting help

to stay healthy than being un healthy

to be positive than negative personality

Second Principle: Just for today I will not feel sorrow

Most of us feel sad thinking about the coming days, or may be about the tomorrow. May be the loan taken has to be paid tomorrow without a penny in the hand today. May be the loved may leave tomorrow from this world as informed by doctors at the hospital. So many things which are not in our control to be completed by tomorrow.

You must accept that your anger always harms you only but not the other person whom you are angry about.

The fourth principle: Be true to your self.

always be true to your self. create some time for your self. Enjoy that sweet child hood music. Move over that lush green lawns in your favourite park. Have fun swimming in the near by pool. Enjoy your favourite cinema. If you can not love your self, No body in this world is going to love you. If you can not like your self , don't expect others to have affection towards you.

What ever you do , do it with satisfaction atleast to your self. If you are satisfied your self, it is going to satisfy every body. Teach your sub ordinates coolly how to do work with precision. Feel them your friends, When friends go wrong, you will correct them with affection but not with punishment.

So starting loving your self, caring your self.

The fifth principle: Respect every being.

Start respecting , loving every thing whether it is human or not.

You respect elders, they will bless you.

You respect your boss , your boss will understand you.

You respect your neighbours , they will reciprocate.

One will harvest what he planted.

All the items, the pen, the cell phone, the car, the bike etc., which belong to you, have become a part of your self.
